The Advocates for The Children’s Assessment Center hosted the 5th Annual Advocate Through Art Party benefiting The Children’s Assessment Center (The CAC) on November 30th at Kirby Grove. The event was a record-breaking success raising more than $510,000 for The CAC. The 500 guests in attendance enjoyed a live and silent art auction, delicious cuisine donated by Clark Cooper Concepts, cocktails, music by DJ Pete, and live art performances by Ad Deum Dance Company, Kelley Devine and Tyler Ramsey. The cocktail party preceding the main event was hosted by Casamigos Tequila and Brookstreet BBQ. Donated artwork included 115 amazing art pieces, including an additional fifty items curated in a special exhibit by Yvonamor Palix Fine Arts.
The Live Auction artwork included SPIN ME RIGHT ROUND by GONZO247; Jaguar by Peter Tunney, I Love You Anyway by Kelley Devine; The Three Amigos by George Rodrigue; Railroad Tie Splinter, 2 Pennies and A Portrait by Page Piland; Life Love by Shane Pennington, Fragments by Mitch McGee; SAFE and a piano painted live during the event by Tyler Ramsey. The Live Auction also included an intimate dining experience provided by Monica Pope.
Guests included CAC Foundation Board of Directors, including Ericka Bagwell, Paul Bragg, Joan Campbell, Diane Caplan, Allison Flikerski, Rhonda Graff, Ursaline Hamilton, Judge William Henderson, and Lauren Maloy. Others present were Alexandra and Rich Bruskoff, Ashley and Sid Perkins, Collin and Erin Salisbury, Pharis and Jennifer Godfrey, Heather and Max Bulk, Natalie and Steve Mohtashami, Ashlee and Joe Rubbo, Jarrad and Collen Lewis, Meredith and Ben Marshall, Dylan and Jordan Seff, Craig Taylor, Curtis and Iva Knobbe, Daniel Harrington, John and Katie Dwan, Kim Westrup, Robbie and Katherine Wright, and Eric Wormser.
The event raised over $510,000 for The CAC. The CAC Executive Director Elaine Stolte said, “These funds are critical to the prevention of child abuse and the amount raised was due to the compassion and dedication by our extraordinary event chairs.”
