HOUSTON’S TOP CHEFS TO COMPETE AT THE INTERNATIONAL RISOTTO FESTIVAL - NOV 13
9TH Annual event to benefit The Children’s Assessment Center
HOUSTON, TX (August 13, 2011) – Executive Chef Jon Buchanan of Trevisio will defend his title against 16 of Houston’s top chefs on Sunday, November 13 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the 9th Annual International Risotto Festival at The Houston Design Center, 7026 Old Katy Rd. Chef Buchanan will be joined by the top chefs from last year’s culinary competition including executive chefs Jamie Zelko- Zelko Bistro, David Grossman – Branch Water Tavern, John Sheely – Mockingbird Bistro and more.
Fans of fine food and wine will enjoy this gourmet strolling event which includes samplings of delicious antipasti, tastings of all the risotto entries; fabulous Italian wines; music and entertainment; exotic cars; raffle drawing; children’s play area with activities for kids; and designer showroom tours.
Early bird tickets will go on sale August 29 and may be purchased online at RisottoFestival.com for $55 per person, $75 at the gate. Children under 12 are free. VIP tickets ($125) are also available which include special parking and access to the VIP lounge where guests can mingle with participating chefs and judges, sip fine wines and enjoy a selection of antipasti and desserts. Reserved wine tables with seating for 6 guests and VIP privileges are available for $1,250 each.
