The Governor’s Child Sex Trafficking Team is excited to invite you to an area wide summit that will allow us all to take a deep dive into the anti-trafficking work being done across our county. We will be hosting a Harris County Anti-Sex Trafficking Strategic Planning Summit and we hope you will join us!
This will be a day of inspiration and action as we all come together to examine the work being done in prevention, recognition, recovery, restoration, and bringing justice for survivors. We will have specialized workgroups in each of the aforementioned categories which will lay the groundwork for strengthening our response across these vital areas.
The purpose of this summit is threefold:
- UNITE: A unifying event to allow all involved in this work to connect and strategize…because we can do so much more together!
- INFORM: Who is doing what across this great county and how does one become involved and/or support their county partners in their vital work? Knowledge is power and we must be well informed of ALL the resources available to us to eradicate sex trafficking in our community and across the state while at the same time ensure our survivors have access to the best healing and restorative resources possible!
- IDENTIFY: Who/what is missing in this robust continuum and how do we fill these gaps? Although we have a lot of great people and resources at the table, we still need more and a very good understanding of what exactly is needed!
As we Unite, Inform and Identify, we will be able to develop a strong strategic plan that will help us move the needle across all the various aspects of anti-trafficking work in Harris County.
