U.S. Senator John Cornyn  Announces “Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act” at The Children's Assessment Center

Legislation focuses on supporting and protecting the victims

Houston, TX- On September 4, 2013 at 1:30 p.m., The Children’s Assessment Center will be host a roundtable discussion for U.S. Senator John Cornyn where he will announce legislation focusing on supporting and protecting the victims of trafficking. The legislation is a truly comprehensive approach to fight human trafficking and child sex trafficking. The roundtable discussion with; local officials, representatives from all levels of law enforcement, representatives of the juvenile court system, child welfare organizations, and others, will also allow for discussion about the legislation and regional efforts to deal with human trafficking.  A press conference will follow at 2:20 p.m.
